NOTICE OF REPRIMAND (By Consent)

Case No. 17-84-GA Notice Issued: October 19, 2017 Clifford Woodards, II, P 60661, Southfield, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board Tri-County Hearing Panel #60.

Reprimand, Effective October 17, 2017. The Grievance Administrator filed a formal complaint alleging that respondent engaged in discourteous conduct during a probation review hearing in Wayne County Circuit Court. The parties filed a Stipulation for Consent Order of Discipline, in accordance with MCR 9.115(F)(5), which was approved by the Attorney Grievance Commission and accepted by the hearing panel.

Based upon respondent's admissions and the stipulation of the parties, the panel found that respondent failed to treat with courtesy and respect a person involved in the legal process and failed to avoid treating that person discourteously or disrespectfully because of that person's race and gender, in violation of MRPC 6.5(a); and engaged in conduct that exposes the legal profession to obloquy, contempt, censure, or reproach, in violation of MCR 9.104(2).

In accordance with the stipulation of the parties, the panel ordered that respondent be reprimanded. Costs were assessed in the amount of $750.00.
