NOTICE OF TRANSFER TO INACTIVE STATUS PURSUANT TO MeR 9.121 (8) (By Consent)

Case Nos. 17-42-PI; 17-43-GA Notice Issued: September 19,2017 Sally J. Galer, P 36791, Mio, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board Otsego County Hearing Panel #1.

Transfer to Inactive Status, Effective September 19, 2017. The Grievance Administratorfiled Formal Complaint 17-42-PI; 17-43-GA which included, allegations that respondent is incapacitated and cannot continue the practice of law pursuant to MCR 9.121 (B). The Board issued an order appointing counsel for respondent.

The Grievance Administrator and respondent, through their respective counsel, filed a stipulation July 31, 2017, agreeing that the respondent is currently incapacitated and unable to engage in the practice of law, and that she be transferred to inactive status and until such time as she may be reinstated in accordance with MCR 9.121 (E). The stipulation further contained the parties' agreement that the charges of misconduct contained in the Formal Complaint, filed April 20, 2017, be dismissed without prejudice to re-filing in the event that respondent is reinstated to the practice of law.

Otsego County Hearing Panel #1 issued an order transferring respondent's license to inactive status pursuant to MCR 9.121 (B) for an indefinite period and until further order of the Board, effective September 19, 2017.
