NOTICE OF SUSPENSION
Case No. 16-116-MZ (Ref. 15-81-GA) Notice Issued: June 9, 2017 R. Vincent Green, P 34862, Lansing, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board Ingham County Hearing Panel #1.
Suspension - 120 Days, Effective June 12, 2017
The Grievance Administrator filed a motion for order to show cause on October 12, 2016, seeking additional discipline for respondent's failure to comply with the hearing panel's February 12, 2016 order, issued in Grievance Administrator v R. Vincent Green, Case No. 15-81-GA,
suspending respondent's license to practice law in Michigan for 120 days. The Grievance Administrator alleged that respondent violated the prior order by reviewing a proposed order of restitution on behalf of a criminal client, by authorizing a prosecutor to sign his name to the proposed order of restitution, and, in two separate places, was identified as "Attorney for Defendant." The panel found that respondent committed professional misconduct by holding himself out as an attorney during the term of his suspension, in violation of MCR 9.119(E).
The hearing panel ordered that respondent's license to practice law in Michigan be suspended for 120 days, effective June 12, 2017, as requested by respondent and agreed to by the panel to allow respondent to wind down his practice. Costs were assessed in the amount of $1,868.70.
