NOTICE OF REPRIMAND Case No. 16-135-GA Notice Issued: April 6, 2017 Kathryn A. Steiner, P 58550, Livonia, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board Tri-County Hearing Panel #64.

Reprimand, Effective April 6, 2017 Respondent failed to file an answer to the formal complaint, but appeared at the hearing. The hearing panel found that respondent committed acts of professional misconduct as the result of her failure to respond to the Grievance Administrator's Request for Investigation (GARI), served February 3, 2015. Based on respondent's admission at the hearing, the panel found that respondent failed to respond to a lawful demand for information, in violation of MRPC 8.1 (a)(2); failed to answer a request for investigation in conformity with MCR 9.113 and MCR 9.115(0), in violation of MCR 9.104(7); and failed or refused to appear or give evidence, to be sworn or affirmed, or to answer a proper question after being ordered to do so, in violation of MeR 9.112(0)(2). Respondent was also found to have violated MCR 9.104(1), (2) and (4); and MRPC 8.4(a) and (c).

The panel ordered that respondent be reprimanded. Costs were assessed in the amount of $1 ,896.54.
