Schwartz, P 45268, Farmington Hills, Michigan Effective November 18, 2021 On November 18, 2021, respondent was convicted of three felonies, Conspiracy to Defraud the United States, in violation of 18 USC § 371; and two counts of Bribery Involving Federal Programs, in violation of 18 USC § 666(a)(2), in the matter titled United States v Jay A. Schwartz, US District Court, Eastern District of Michigan, Case No. 3:19-cr-20451-RHC-EAS-1. In accordance with MCR 9.120(B)(1), respondent’s license to practice law in Michigan was automatically suspended on the date of his felony conviction.
Upon the filing of a certified judgment of conviction, this matter will be assigned to a hearing panel for further proceedings. The interim suspension will remain in effect until the effective date of an order filed by a hearing panel.
