NOTICE OF REPRIMAND (By Consent)

Case Na. 99-121-GA Morris B. Lefkawitz, P-31 335, Southfield, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board, Tn-County Hearing Panel #53.

1. Reprimand. 2. Effective January 5, 2000, The respondent and the Grievance Administrator submitted a stipulation for consent order of discipline in accordance with MCR 9.11 5(f)(5). The stipulation was approved by the Attorney

Grievance Commission and was accepted by a Hearing panel. Respondent entered a plea of nob cantendere to the allegations of professional misconduct contained in Count One of Formal Camplaint 99-12 1 -GA, to wit: that he delayed filing a divorce action on his clients

behalf; failed to advise his client of a scheduled court date; advised his client nat to appear on a scheduled court date; failed to advise his client af a re-scheduled court date; signed a court

order without his clients knowledge or consent; failed ta appear far a scheduled appointment with his client and failed to respond to his clients attempts to contact him and keep him advised of the status of the legal matter in violation of MCR 9.104(1)-(4) and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1 (a)-(c); 1.2(a); 1.3; 1.4; 3.2; and 8.4(a). The parties have further

stipulated that the allegations of prafessianal misconduct contained in Counts Twa and Three of the Formal Complaint may be dismissed and the respondent should be reprimanded. Casts were assess d in the amount of $68.63.
