ORDER.INCREASING DISCIPLINE TO SUSPENSION OF 18 MONTHS

Issued by the Attorney Discipline Board 211 w. Fort St.. Ste.1410, Detroit, MI On April 4, 2012, Tri-County Hearing Panel #6 of the Attorney Discipline Board issued an order suspending respondent's license to practice law in Michigan for a period of 90 days effective April 26, 2012. The Grievance Administrator filed a petition for review on April 17, 2012, and the respondent filed her cross-petition for review on May 1, 2012. Respondent filed a motion for a stay of the costs imposed in the hearing panel's order, but did not request a stay of the discipline portion of the order. The Attorney Discipline Board conducted review proceedings in accordance with MCR 9.118, which included a review of the record before the hearing panel and consideration of the briefs and arguments submitted by the parties, and the Board is otherwise fully advised,

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, for the reasons stated in the attached opinion, that the discipline in this case is increased from a suspension of 90 days to a SUSPENSION OF RESPONDENT'S LICENSE TO PRACTICE LAW IN MICHIGAN FOR 18 MONTHS, EFFECTIVE APRIL 26, 2012, and until the respondent's filing of an affidavit of compliance with the Supreme Court, the Attorney Discipline Board and the Attorney Grievance Commission in accordance with MCR 9.123(B).

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that respondent shall, on or before August 30, 2012, pay costs in the amount of $22,633.40 consisting of costs assessed by the hearing panel in the amount of $22,497.65 and court reporting costs incurred by the Attorney Discipline Board in the amount of $135.75 for the review proceedings conducted on July 11,2012. Check or money order shall be made payable to the State Bar of Michigan, but submitted to the Attorney Discipline Board [211 West Fort St., Ste. 1410, Detroit, MI 48226] for proper crediting.
