ORDER GRANTING REQUEST FOR INTERLOCUTORY REVIEW, DENYING REQUEST FOR ORAL ARGUMENT, AND AFFIRMING HEARING PANEL ORDER

On November 23, 2020, Kent County Hearing Panel #5 entered an Order Overruling Respondent’s Objection to Virtual Hearing. On December 14, 2020, respondent filed a petition for interlocutory review pursuant to MCR 9.110(E)(5) and MCR 9.118(A). Respondent requested oral argument.

The Attorney Discipline Board has considered the parties’ extensive briefs with the hearing panel and on review, and is otherwise fully advised;

NOW THEREFORE, for the reasons set forth in the accompanying opinion, IT IS ORDERED that respondent’s request for interlocutory review of the hearing panel’s order overruling respondent’s objection to virtual hearing is GRANTED.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that respondent’s request for oral argument is DENIED pursuant to MCR 9.118(A)(1) and that the hearing panel’s November 23, 2020, order is AFFIRMED.
