Effective February 8, 2005 1 Based on respondent=s default for failure to file an answer to the formal complaint and failure to appear at the public hearing, the hearing panel found that respondent failed to appear of a hearing on a discovery subpoena and a show cause hearing, despite being ordered by the court to do so; and failed to answer a request for investigation served by the Grievance Administrator. Respondent=s conduct was in violation of MCR 9.104(A)(1)-(4) and (7); MCR 9.113(A) and (B)(2); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 3.4(c); 8.1(a)(2); and 8.4(a) and (c).
The hearing panel ordered that respondent=s license be suspended for three years. Costs were assessed in the amount of $1,675.23.
